With the assistance of Seattle Design Foundation, we launched Seattle Food Waste Project to prevent consumers from losing money, nourishing food and time that come along with wasting food.
With Chris Vogliano’s extensive work on sustainability in the food system and Brett Hannan’s work as a nutritionist and chef; founding Seattle Food Waste Project was an amazing opportunity. Our combined knowledge has led to increased community engagement and educational opportunities around food waste.
We created this simple refrigerator magnet to inform consumers about the confusing food labels. Our Decode the Date project is aimed at University students to be informed about when food is still safe to eat.
